Our 2022 Impact Report

We are thrilled to be publishing our 2022 Impact Report. It was quite a year for us - 6 programmes, 90 Mums, two new areas of delivery, and finally some more people in the team!

The beginning of the year saw the wonderful Paige join as Programme Manager, closely followed by graduate Mum Sophia who joined as Team Administrator (with other WWL Mum Samantha promoted to Programme Manager). We had also identified a real need for a dedicated person to support the Mums post-graduation and were delighted to welcome Chloe as Talent Manager in April. As a qualified career coach, Chloe has been wonderful at supporting Mums on their next steps and helping maintain some momentum once the core programme ends.

For the first time, we also decided to enter some awards in 2022. This saw us shortlisted as finalists for a whopping SIX and being crowned "Team of the Year' at the prestigious Social Enterprise UK Awards. We were also very humbled to be Commended at the ERSA Awards for our Partnership with Bath College, which continues to go from strength to strength.

Which brings us neatly on to funding. The Adult Education Budget funding via our partnership with Bath College was our largest source of funding, followed by the DWP's Flexible Support Fund, which we accessed via our partnership with North Somerset Council. As always, we looked to supplement the statutory funding with grants and were delighted to work again with Unltd and the School for Social Entrepreneurs - the mentoring and advice from both was second-to-none. Finally, a word of thanks to all of our employer partners who continue to contribute towards our overall running costs. Without their support we could not continue to innovate and grow in the way we are and we are all just so grateful.

And finally we should mention our programme on BBC1's 'We are England'. Our episode - Weston-super-Mums - was without doubt, the highlight of our year. It captured the very essence of who we are, what we do and why we exist. It's on the iPlayer until the end of 2023, so do go and watch if you haven't already.
