Eligibility

The Women’s Work Lab is open to mums currently receiving benefits and looking to get back into work. We don’t need you to have any specific experience but we want to see that you’ve spent some time in a workplace at some point (we don’t mind how long ago that was or how relevant you feel it is). Equally, you might have volunteered or taken on some training during your period of unemployment.

We don’t mind what qualifications you have done (although showing us that you have an interest in developing yourself is great!), but we do need you to have Maths and English GCSE at Grade C/4, or equivalent, or currently working towards it. Experience of using computers for things like writing letters, creating spreadsheets or managing databases would be an advantage but is not essential.

If you have children younger than school age you are welcome to apply but will need to have childcare organised for both the training and the work placement.
